As of July 1st, 2019, I am no longer the Principal of Stella May Swartz School, but will not be going far. I am now the Principal at Albright Middle School, where I will see you all again soon. By then, your children will probably be taller than me and I will be thrilled to be reunited with them. I am very excited to move back to the school I started my career in District 48 at, but will miss working with our elementary students. I do love that I have been able to see many of our students grow and learn, as I have started with them at Salt Creek School. It will be meaningful beyond belief to see them graduate as 8th Graders from Albright in the future.

I have had so many great memories while working at Swartz School for the last 3 years. From Tommy Hawk surprising us, to our Little Viking Assemblies, every year has been a new adventure. The Swartz Staff is extremely student centered and your children are in phenomenal hands. Our teachers and staff are a family and work together to give your children the absolute best! I am going to greatly miss working with all of them.

I am thrilled to announce that Mrs. Sarah Smith is the new Principal of Stella May Swartz School. She has been the Assistant Principal at Salt Creek School for two years and then was at Swartz School last year. She has many years of teaching experience at the elementary level and knows our students and families extremely well. She is the absolute best person to hand Swartz School over to and I am excited to continue working side by side with her.

I am sad to leave Swartz School, but know our students and families are in amazing hands! Have a great summer and we will see you in the Fall.   - Gerrie Aulisa
