School District 48 will conduct a free developmental screening of preschool aged children (ages 3 to 5 by Sept. 1st, 2019). There will be a separate screening for incoming Kindergarteners in the Spring. This screening is open to all District 48 preschool aged students who live in District, regardless of future preschool plans. It will be located at Salt Creek Primary School, 980 S. Riverside Dr. in Elmhurst on Friday, March 15th, 2019. Appointments are necessary and can be made by calling the school’s office at 630-832-6122.
The screening process helps identify how your son/daughter is currently developing and is also the first step in registering your son/daughter in our preschool program. Assessed areas include: speech and language, large and small muscle groups and social/emotional development. It is conducted by professional school staff in a variety of pleasant playroom situations and takes about one hour to complete.
