I am very excited to share that as of July 1st, 2019, I am the new Principal of Albright Middle School. I started my career teaching at Addison Trail High School in 2006. I then was hired by Mr. Scott Jackson in 2011 to teach at Albright Middle School. I would have never guessed how this moment would change my life and provide me so many memorable opportunities. I taught at AMS for two years, before becoming the Assistant Principal there and at Salt Creek School.
In 2016 I became the Principal of Salt Creek and Swartz Schools. It was phenomenal to watch our students learn and grow from preschool through 4th Grade. Now I have the amazing opportunity to watch them further their learning all the way through 8th Grade. I have been learning and growing with them and am honored to share this experience, especially with our current 5th grade cohort. I have worked with them since they were in Kindergarten, and am following them over to Albright. I can't wait to watch them go from Little Vikings to AMS Vikings!
I have had the luxury of working with most of Albright's 5th through 7th Graders and their parents in the past as Principal of Swartz School. I am sincerely looking forward to getting to know our 8th Grade students and parents this coming year. The students have been nothing but kind and welcoming as I was visiting Albright this Spring. This is a strong group, and I am honored to look to them as our student leaders for the 2019-20 school year.
Mr. Jackson cannot be replaced, and I recognize the amazing leader I am taking over for. These are big shoes to fill. I have learned a lot from him over the years, and I promise to do my best to continue leading Albright in a positive and student focused way.
I look forward to seeing you all again in the Fall and have a great Summer!
