On Friday, 4/26, we had a Fun Friday Rotation! Students reviewed school expectations and learned about cicadas from each of our classroom teachers!
Swartz 4th Grade Stella Stars performed the Wizard of Oz play today. The students did an incredible job! Big thanks to our Drama Club sponsors, Mrs. Vicicondi and Mrs. Phan. Special thanks to Mrs. Le Gal and Tommy Vicicondi for their help with music and sound. We are so proud of them!

Out 2nd grade Earth Science Club planted these tulip bulbs last fall. They did a beautiful job! Happy Spring!
Introducing THE SMILE SQUAD! Salt Creek District 48 is teaming up with the DuPage Health Department Dental Program to offer FREE dental exams to ALL students. The Smile Squad is coming to Stella May Swartz on Tuesday, May 21st! The Smile Squad is a fully equipped dental truck that provides free dental services to students, including a cleaning and sealants for those who qualify. If your child participates, the Smile Squad will provide proof of an exam that meets the Illinois State school requirements. If you are interested in your child participating, please email dolsen@saltcreek48.org or call the office and request a consent form be sent home with your child. Consent forms are due by: Monday, May 13th.
Swartz Students have turned in 15 pounds of Viking Pride Slips. We spun the Big Wheel and got no homework! Students and teachers will decide on the no homework day. Keep up the amazing work!

Solar Eclipse Fun Today!
We had a solar eclipse fashion show in the morning and safely viewed the solar eclipse in the afternoon while chewing Eclipse gum. Of course we had a special music playlist for all activities too!

More than 50% of our Swartz students are fully registered for the 2024-25 school year! On Monday, 4/1, we participated in an all school bingo game at the end of the day! Next benchmark is 75%, please make sure your child is registered!
