Technical Difficulties

Experiencing technical difficulties with your Chromebook? Try the tips below:

Updates:

Check the Chromebook for updates. On the bottom, right corner of the screen, next to the battery symbol there is a symbol that looks like a wedge. A notification above the wedge will alert you to updates. Please complete the necessary updates.

Google Meets:

Students are not able to join a Meet before the classroom teacher. If you receive a message saying, "You are not authorized to start a meeting," it means the teacher is not in yet. Wait until the teacher joins to click join again.

If you  get kicked out of Google Meet, or are experiencing a black screen or spinning wheel, shut down the Chromebook and turn it back on. Try to join the Meet again.

Connection:

Try moving to a different room or closer to your internet modem.

Shut Down the Computer:

Shut down the Chromebook every evening. Click the "wedge" next to the battery symbol on the bottom, right corner of the screen. Click "sign out." On the bottom, left corner of the sign on page, click "Shut Down." Open your Chromebook and press any button to turn on and login.
