Good Morning Kindergarten,
In next week's LIVE STEM Class (Monday, October 26th - KF & KC) or (Tuesday, October 27th - KO), we will discuss how some things might have the same structure, but different functions. Other things may have the same function, but different structures. For this challenge, students will need the following materials: 10 pipe cleaners (these will be sent home with your child today or are available for pick-up for Mrs. O's E-learning students). Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Friday 1st Grade Families! For next week's LIVE STEM Class (Monday, October 26th), we will continue our exploration of sound by "seeing" it in action. To help students remember that vibrations are what causes sound, we will be using the following materials: uncooked rice, bowl, saran or plastic wrap, pan/pot/baking sheet, and a spoon. Please print or recreate the data sheet provided in our Google Classroom. Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Friday Kindergarten Parents! Next week, your children will begin their first STEM Challenge during our live class. *Please check your child's daily schedule for the time of their LIVE Class.* We will be using the Engineering Design Process to try to solve the problem: Can you build a device that you can push or pull to move 5 pebbles at least 3 ft. without breaking? Students will be learning the problem and drawing out their ideas this week so the only materials needed are pencil and paper. Have a great weekend! -Mrs. Williams

Just a reminder that meal pick up is tomorrow, Tuesday, September 29th from 1:00 to 1:30 pm at the District Office (Door #2) on Villa Avenue. Please wear a mask when you pick up your meals.
