As the end of the school year is approaching, children's thoughts of worry about what's next may bubble up. Here's a guide to help your children cope with these feelings. When your child is calm, talk through what they can do when worry or stress is too much. ~Mrs. Scholtes~

We love the idea of giving kids a positive way to stay hopeful & we love giving adults a happy way to turn frustration into anticipation. Create a Someday Soon Jar to store all the activities they've been missing. When we are able, you'll have a jar full of things to do!

What a great resource: Call4Calm, for Illinois residents experiencing stress and mental health issues related to COVID-19. Text “TALK” to 5-5-2-0-2-0, or for Spanish, “HABLAR” to the same number. Call4Calm is free to use, and individuals will remain anonymous. Once a resident sends a text to the hotline, within 24 hours they will receive a call from a counselor employed by a local community mental health center. You can also text 5-5-2-0-2-0, with key words such as “unemployment” or “food” or “shelter” and will receive information on how to access resources. *Mrs. Scholtes
