August 24, 2021
Dear Salt Creek School District 48 Families,
Please let me be one of the first individuals to welcome you back to the 2021-2022 school year! I hope that you had a wonderful summer and that you were able to create some great memories with your family and friends. We are very excited to start the school year and our staff members have been very busy preparing for the first day of school. Our hope is to have the best school year possible and to turn any lemons into lemonade. While things aren’t quite back to normal yet and we continue to face a few obstacles, our goal is to create as much normalcy as possible. That is one of the goals that we have for this upcoming school year.
At Albright Middle School, all of our sports teams will be running and a full complement of clubs will begin as well. We will be starting a new after-school activity bus for our middle school students, so please stay tuned for some further information about that. As clubs begin at Swartz, we will also look to create an after-school activity route as well. I’d also like you to join us for the Families, Teachers, and Children (F.T.C.) Back to School social event on the evening of Friday, September 3rd. This event will be at Swartz School and will begin at 5:30 pm. More details will be released soon, but please place this awesome event on your calendar.
Thank you for your patience and flexibility as we have navigated through the events of the past 17 months. I have appreciated the opportunities to talk with a number of you by phone and your passion for the things that occur within the school district are very evident. The opportunity to communicate and collaborate with one another makes our school district a very special place to be. Finally, I’d like to thank you again for partnering with us in your child’s education.
Please feel free to reach out to me at any point should you have any questions about this school year.
