We had an amazing first week of school at Swartz!

AMS Parents, if you have a student interested in playing coed soccer or girls volleyball this fall, have them grab the permission slip from the gym stage. Tryouts are Wednesday 9/4 and Thursday 9/5 of next week! Physicals need to be in before tryouts in order to participate! Go Vikings!

AMS students rocked our bus evacuation drill today, so they earned a little outdoor time.

Thank you parents and staff for an amazing Curriculum Night! We are so excited and lucky to be working with your kids this year. Go Vikings!!!

We celebrated August birthdays at Salt Creek with a special lunch with the assistant principal. Happy birthday to all of our August birthday friends!

Buses left Salt Creek and Swartz about 10 minutes late! Thank you so much for your patience.

Hi Swartz Families! The power is back on! Thank you for your patience!

Hello Swartz Families! I would like to provide a quick update on our power outage. We continue to experience a power outage at Swartz. We are continuing to run the school day as normally as possible. We have access to plumbing, normal food/lunch service, and our emergency lighting is on. I have visited all of our classrooms and our students are doing an amazing job! ComEd has estimated that power will resume within the next few hours. We will continue to provide you with updates as they become available. Please call me at 630-234-9781 if you need immediate assistance.
Sarah Smith

Power has been restored at Albright, but not yet at Swartz.

See you there,
Ms. Aulisa

Salt Creek School District 48 conducts a free developmental screening of preschool-aged children (ages 3 to 5, not yet enrolled in kindergarten). This screening is open to all preschool-aged students who live in District boundaries, regardless of future preschool plans. Screenings are conducted at Salt Creek Primary School, 980 S. Riverside Dr. in Elmhurst. Appointments are necessary and can be made by calling the school’s office at 630-832-6122.
Screening appointments are available for August 30th, September 27, November 1, January 10, March 13, and May 22.
The screening process helps identify how your son/daughter is currently developing and is also the first step in registering your son/daughter in our preschool program. Assessed areas include: speech and language, large and small muscle groups and social/emotional development. It is conducted by professional school staff in a variety of pleasant playroom situations and takes about one hour to complete.
If you have any questions regarding screening for children under 3 years old, please contact Child & Family Connections at 331-481-4263.
